ABBRA Joins Forces with Sea Hawk Paints to Represent and Promote Boat Builders
ABBRA is pleased to join forces with Sea Hawk Paints to offer you this opportunity to learn about our organization.
ABBRA is the oldest existing marine trade association in the United States, established in 1943 to represent post-war boat builders and repairers across the United States, and ultimately other parts of the world. Since then, ABBRA has maintained its maritime tradition while keeping pace with the evolving marine industry. Over the past 74 years, ABBRA has grown into a national marine trade organization, and national network of marine service and repair companies. It includes small specialty-repair shops, to larger boatbuilding and manufacturing companies, and boatyards that include repair shops on their grounds.
ABBRA Yards promote professionalism, high standards of workmanship in construction and repair, and honesty and integrity in dealing with customers, employees, and vendors. We help our members with the upskilling of their staff, and provide professional training, education, the sharing of knowledge and the search for solutions to common problems. We also help our members stay abreast of the ever-changing OSHA and EPA regulations and compliance requirements, boat building and repair standards, and best business practices.
As yard operators, our members’ primary concern is that they can demonstrate to their customers that they will perform their services in a timely and professional manner, with the highest quality possible. To this effect, ALL ABBRA yards follow a Code of Ethics, which can be found here: ABBRA Code of Ethics
