Testing Facilities and Research Methods

The main testing grounds are located in the Tampa Bay area on the west coast of Florida. This area offers some of the heaviest fouling conditions in the world. Unprotected vessels in these waters are covered in massive barnacles and other types of marine growth in a matter of weeks.
